The School of Bardic Arts cultivates creativity, curiosity, and cultural connection through storytelling, music, folklore, and creative expression — providing educational programs, artistic collaborations, and community-based cultural experiences for learners of all ages.
The School of Bardic Arts is organized for educational and charitable purposes: advancing arts education, cultural preservation, storytelling, music, folklore, and community arts programming throughout Oregon — beginning in the Rogue Valley of Southern Oregon, with future expansion as our programs grow.
Our work grows from sixteen years of community-based artistic practice, organized today into three connected programs.
Music, storytelling, folk traditions, and creative play delivered in schools, libraries, and community spaces for K–3 students across the Rogue Valley.
Courses, workshops, and study groups for adults — songwriting, mythology, folklore, and storytelling, including the weekly Oscura Book Club in Ashland.
Collaborative music, film, storytelling, and performance exploring mythology, folklore, dreams, and the human experience — led by our resident chamber-folk duo.
Whether you're a school, a funder, a fellow artist, or a curious learner — we'd love to hear from you.
