Balladir Performing Arts

Acoustic chamber-punk & folk opera — collaborative music, film, storytelling, and performance exploring mythology, folklore, dreams, and the human experience.

About Balladir

At once deeply moving and playfully irreverent, Balladir curates an immersive concert experience that weaves original chamber-folk music with theatrical storytelling, vaudevillian antics, and a healthy dose of audience participation. Led by music educators Travis Puntarelli (guitar, piano, vocals) and Bexx Rosenbloom (cello, percussion, glockenspiel, singing saw, vocals), Balladir features rich, forward-driven harmonies and tightly crafted arrangements drawn from decades of experience in folk tradition, theater, a cappella, puppetry, and more — delivering memorable performances that connect deeply with listeners.

Now Touring: Remember Clarisse McClellan

Ideal for listening rooms, theaters, festivals, and community spaces.

Balladir proudly presents its newest touring show: Remember Clarisse McClellan, an immersive folk-theatre concert that intertwines original music, theatrical storytelling, puppetry, vaudeville-inspired comedy, and audience participation. Organized into three acts framed by the words of three historical figures who were persecuted for defying convention, the show unfolds as a series of interconnected musical and theatrical vignettes that blend satire and heartfelt reflection to explore the importance of creative expression and the enduring value of questioning the world around us.
